YMH Phakding

A quiet & tranquil feeling, ideally set at the bank of Dudhkoshi River

Phakding is located between Lukla and Namche of Everest Region. Phakding village is the first overnight staying station for the trekkers in this region. It has different casts like Sherpa, Tamang, Magar, Lama etc and has different cultures and is staying as neighboring villagers. Here are different categories lodges from normal budget lodge to high comfort lodges and facilities vary as per the category and applied rates.

At the heart of the town stands Rimijung Monastery established by a Sherpa Lama "Khempo Dorje" in the 16th century.

Pema Choeling Monastery is a beautiful destination that is yet to be developed and practiced as a tourism product. Although, the Trail is visited every year by local visitors, and foreigners, the potential of the Trail has been underestimated and neglected. The Pema Choeling Trail is the trekking Trail that connects Rimijung with Gomlha, Pangjung and Dhumijoa. Rimijung can be reached from Ghat, Rokamba, Zomfute and Phakding from the main Everest Trail. From Rimijung, visitors can visit Pema Choeling Monastery, Tye Khongma Monastery and Gomlha nunnery settlement for a Buddhist and Sherpa ‘way of life’ experience. Visiting these places is good for getting acclimatized, enjoying the natural beauty and experiencing cultural and religious Sherpa tradition.

The Pema Choeling Trail has a lot to offer to the visitors; from high mountains to green forests and beautiful ‘Mani.’ These places have their own way of expressing beauty both natural and cultural.

Yeti Mountain home is ideally set at the bank of Dudhkoshi River, in a quiet and tranquil environment. Its 20 well furnished comfort rooms with attached bath and hot-cold running water serves as the perfect location to stay overnight at an altitude of 2601m.
