Vacancy: Manager Operations

General Description: Responsible for designing, managing and improving the operations system – flights, transportation, permits and all other aspect of services during the trip like leaders, guides, lodges, porters and budget. In addition, ensure the guests/staff safety, customer satisfaction and optimize the operational cost by developing short and long-term strategies.

  • Key Functions

    • Optimize operational cost, do a proper assessment and prepare guidelines to maintain quality services
    • Ensure smooth and quality operations of all groups
    • Responsible for the proper management of the store
    • Handle Customer Service
    • People and performance management
    • Contributions and acceptance of responsibilities in Core Team
  • KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES (KPI’S)

    • Organize season’s review meeting with office staff and field staff twice a year after each season and present results to SMT
    • Training to the field staffs regarding services, customer expectation, safety, hygiene, company values on yearly basis.
    • Prepare reports – store inventories, guests feedback, transportations
    • Once a year, do a survey trip to mostly frequented trekking routes to assess the risks, ensure the quality of the accommodation, food hygiene, prices and itineraries.
    • Execute an annual performance review for all the members of the Operations team to continually improve individual performance
  • PROFILE AND MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, LANGUAGES, IT-SKILLS)

    • Minimum 05 years of working experience in similar position and field
    • Bachelor's degree (preference given to those in tourism field)
    • Excellent client-facing, internal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, deadline-driven and multitasking skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Passion for adventure, serving people and abiding company values and purpose.
